Participatory budgets phases

Information

-

Perth & Kinross Council has agreed to focus participatory budgeting on four localities that face significant challenges and have a need for targeted community investment. Applications will be welcome from early December, must be community-led and should focus on tackling poverty and alleviating the impact of cost of living in these areas. We expect successful applicants to demonstrate how they will target these localities, but understand that some beneficiaries may come from outwith these areas. Applications are also welcome to include costs towards upskilling and resourcing volunteers to support the delivery of your project to tackle poverty and cost of living.

Proposal stage

-

The Locality PB Fund is now open for applications.

We now invite community groups to submit a proposal for funding that aims to tackle poverty and alleviate the impact of cost of living. Proposals can include costs towards upskilling and resourcing volunteers to enhance the work of your organisation in tackling poverty and alleviating the cost of living.

Before submitting a proposal, groups may wish to seek advice from CLD staff, each of whom are organising a series of support sessions across the four localities in January. More information will be released about this in due course.

In addition to the online proposal form, you must also complete and submit Additional Information Form, which should be attached to the online form. A Contact and Finance Details form should also be submitted to communityempowerment@pkc.gov.uk.

Deadline for applications: 7th February 2025 at 5pm

Voting Prep

-

We will assess each proposal as it is submitted and run final checks after the deadline before the voting can commence to make sure everything is in place for voting going live on 17th February.

Public Vote

-

The voting stage is now open! Please make sure you have selected your locality within your My Account page, accessible in the top right hand corner of this page.

Once you have done this, you can access your locality's voting page by selecting it from the section below. Once you click Vote next to a project, that vote is saved automatically and can be changed before the deadline on 7th March at 5pm.

We encourage you to vote for as many projects as your voting budget affords, however you are able to vote for as few projects as you wish.
